Melody was born April 16, 1949 in Inglewood, California. She was married to actor James MacArthur but they divorced. She divorce also with her second husband, Robert Seaton. Nowadays, Patterson lives with her third husband, Vern Miller. Her by far most popular role was Wrangler Jane on TV show F Troop. When she appeared on that series, Melody was only sixteen years old. Her career skyrocketed after that.
